Loved this experience. Absolutely fantastic experience and a must see for anyone even if art isn’t your usual thing. Really well laid out experience set in the Strand Theatre with amazing visuals and sounds. Designed to be viewed standing, sitting or lying down while the art of Van Gogh just wraps around you from walls to floor. Great combination of visual arts immerse within technology. Definitely art could never feel more real! Definitely recommend.
Van Gogh immersion exhibit was ambitious, thorough and unique. The projected paintings changing from one to another mostly worked except for the gray blue Van Gogh head that didn’t successfully transform itself and had a creepy vibe. The big wall show could have used way more photographs. I would say the show was successful but Van Gogh always is.
the first time I was at the Strand was for the van Gogh exhibition. I wasn't too impressed with that one of but was always interested in the building. this year I got the chance to see a ballet.
the theatre is beautiful, almost majestic, reminiscent if a time when Americans still took pride in public buildings. worth the visit.
The Van Gogh Immersive Exhibit was held at this venue. The exhibit was wonderful and memorable, the staff professional and helpful. The life of the pained artist and how it was presented will stay with you for years to come. I love the experience of this exhibit, as each city that carries the event has their own flair on the subject. Boston did a great job!!
I loved the experience here. If you want to know all about Van Gough, then I highly recommend you go here. Most people don't know his life and this experience will help you better understand him and what he was going through in his personal life. They also have a VR experience that you could buy for $5. If you have the VIP pass it includes in it. I also recommend you do the VR. They have a bathroom also.
Went for the Van Gogh immersive experience and it was wonderful! My two young kids really enjoyed the large room where we got to sit and be immersed into his paintings. Very well done! Clean bathrooms and parking was easy!
My wife and I went there for the Van Gogh Immersive Experience and it was amazing. The venue itself was transformed for the purpose of the experience but it had great flow and the parts of the building we saw looked beautiful.
Van Gogh immersive at the Strand in Dorchester Ma. We had tickets for 2:30. Arrived at 2. Parking on the street was fine and no meters. The Line to get inside was very long. We didn’t get inside until after 3. VIP folks were admitted earlier but they still had a wait. The staff was appropriately humorous given there were more people to manage than what seemed possible to do without having a good attitude or at least a laugh. Just way too many people in a small area. Had to stand and wait to move a few inches along the exhibit once inside. Getting to the immersive room took an hour. Once inside it was just OK. Nothing extraordinary but cool enough to hold my interest. The gift shop was full of items made in China. Some cool offerings but not a fan of supporting Chinese products. Masks were required because it was held in the Strand Theatre which is now a Publicly owned Building and a historic building. I predict in 3 years the Strand will be sold and turned into a hotel.
